The update of British Standard BS7799-2:2002 is now available in a draft version. Its name is BS7799-2:2005, this is no surprise. Perhaps it is a surprise to some that the same standard is on its way to becoming an international standard called ISO/IEC 27001.
The background for this update is that part one of BS7799, a.k.a. ISO/IEC 17799, was updated in June. Hence the controls described in part 2 also needed an update.
