SecureAware Version 2

IT security management made even simpler

Neupart releases new SecureAware, the easiest tool to manage information security in enterprises and government.

The new version contains tools for Information Security Officers and provides an easy-to-use internal information security portal. The release contains a large range of customer requested features. For example:

• It is now easier to structure and manage policies to simultaneously comply with multiple sets of requirements. With one SecureAware policy, you can comply with different legislation, rules, and guidelines. Imagine having ISO 17799 compliance, privacy legislation compliance, Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, etc., within the same policy framework!
• SecureAware creates a coherent and visible IT security system with policies, strategies, rules, guidelines, procedures, etc. With version 2, the responsibility of information security officers is a little less stressful.
• You can display your policy rules on users' screen savers. This is accomplished using web services and XML-formatted policies that can easily be read by screen saver programs. The information security manager can select parts of the information security policy that should display on the screen savers. Different awareness programs can be defined to show different parts of the policy.
• You can create target groups based and topic divided awareness quizzes. The quizzes improve users’ awareness and provide a management tool for improving weak areas. Using the patent pending technology implemented in SecureAware, information security managers do not have to spend time writing quizzes. SecureAware automatically derives these from your policies. The target group feature makes sure that your users only receive questions they are expected to be able to answer. You can create a password month, an incident response month, a safe email month etc. Repeat the topics at given intervals using the awareness program template function of SecureAware. Benefit: You can measure and react to changes in the security and policy knowledge of your organization.
• Version 2 supports English, German, Norwegian and Danish. You can add other languages using the new language and translation manager. As with the built-in languages, your custom added languages have the benefits of the unique policy object structure in SecureAware: New language policy content is related to the English version policy, so it is easy for information security managers to manage polices in multiple languages simultaneously.

Version 2 is the fifth SecureAware release, after v.1.0, v1.1, v1.2 and v1.3. There are currently thousands of satisfied SecureAware users and hundreds of SecureAware server installations worldwide.
